Available Services and Programs
The Area Agency on Aging of North Idaho is publicly funded to provide in-home assistance and community services to individuals, promoting independent living. Contact us to learn more about:

Home Delivered Meals
Provides up to five meals delivered to the home per week per qualified individual. There is no charge for meals, but donations are suggested to help support the program. No senior can be denied meals for failing to donate. To qualify the consumer must be:
- Homebound
- Age 60 or older
- Frail (physical or cognitive deficits)
- Unable to independently prepare meals
Congregate Meals
Provides meals for individuals aged 60 and over, regardless of financial status, which are served free of charge at local senior centers. Donations are suggested to help support the program, but no senior can be denied meals for failing to donate.

Homemaker Services
Homemaker Service provides light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe environment to support independent living. Consumer must be age 60 or older, and have physical or cognitive deficits that prevent them from performing basic cleaning activities.

Family Caregiver Respite
Provides a break for unpaid caregivers providing full time care for a loved one.
Transportation Services
Provides individuals aged 60 and over with various options for free or reduced transportation services.

We also offer:
- Information and referrals for support services and programs in the community
- Adult Protective Services for suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation of vulnerable adults.
- Long Term Care Ombudsmen advocating for resident’s rights in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities.
