Area Agency on Aging Establishes Endowment
The demand for services to keep seniors
safe at home far exceeds available
resources. In answer to this need the
Area Agency on Aging has partnered with
Northwest Community Foundation
(INWCF) to establish the
for North Idaho Endowment.
What is an Endowment?
An endowment represents the
an income generating
fund (principal) which generates
investment income (interest) to
future funding of critically needed
services. The principal is never spent, but
the interest income generated is utilized
by the organization to meet the
established goals and purpose of the

Agency on Aging provides,
coordinates, and funds numerous
community and in-home services for aging
adults including: homemaker services, family caregiver respite, information and
referral, home delivered meals, senior
center meals, long-term care facility
advocates, adult protective services, friendship Corps, retired and senior
volunteers, social worker home visit.
How to Create Your Legacy
There are a variety of ways to donate to
the endowment. A bequest
your will or living trust is perhaps the most
popular way to
support the endowment.
Other options include cash, stocks, securities and bonds, mutual funds, real estate, life insurance policies, personal property and retirement plan assets.
